View event detailsHow Contract Conditions can Change the Liability of an Insured and why Brokers must advise Clients on this.

Alan Chandler, one of the most popular presenters in the UK, will explore what Public and Products liability policies normally cover and what the position is at law when the policyholder extends their liability beyond this by signing certain contracts. The webinar will include exploring the consequences of the Insurance Act 2015 for failing to make a fair presentation of risk with regards to contract conditions, and how failure to guide policyholders around this matter could lead to a claim being turned down and all cover cancelled.

This webinar, delivered by Alan Chandler, one of the most popular presenters in the UK, examines the challenge of making sure personal lines policyholders avoid under insurance. Where the insured has to provide a building sum insured, only 10% of policyholders in the UK get this correct, we can therefore see there is a major issue of under insurance. Challenges also exist in bedroom rated policies. Inner limits are often not taken into account leaving a policyholder badly under insured at point of claim. Alan will look at what needs to be taken into account in respect of setting Household policy cover on the correct footing.
