Supporting Locally - Amelia’s Rainbow

Amelia's Rainbow
Amelia’s Rainbow was set up in memory of Amelia-Grace who died in 2010 from an aggressive childhood cancer. The idea for the charity started with Amelia when she used some of her money to buy an Xbox for one of her friends with whom she spent time with in hospital. She appreciated the gifts that she benefited from; but felt that other children should also have the same opportunities that she did.

Now a small but mighty charity Amelia’s Rainbow supports children in Dorset and the surrounding area who are suffering from any serious and chronic illnesses, conditions and disabilities.

The charity brings light to darker days within Dorset communities by working closely with families and the hospitals. The charity ensures that families are able to access tailored gifts, lessons or trips.

Donations also fund an accessible beach hut in Bournemouth, a holiday home in Highcliffe and a wheelchair accessible chalet at Rockley Park, Poole. Families can use these facilities free of charge either for respite or making great memories.

Supporting Amelia's Rainbow helps a small charity achieve big things and makes a positive impact to families needing a rainbow in their lives.
