We are delighted to announce that nominations for the Rising Star Award are now open!

This award celebrates and recognises the outstanding achievements of emerging talent within the local Insurance and Financial Services industry across the BCP area and Dorset.

Do you know someone who stands out from the crowd? Or perhaps you believe you deserve recognition yourself? We're looking for individuals who demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas:

·        Professionalism: Demonstrated a significant contribution to raising professional standards within their organisation, local institute, or community.

·        Sustainability: Delivered meaningful progress or impact aligned to the industry’s sustainability goals.

·        Diversity & Inclusion: Actively contributed to improving inclusion, equity, or representation within their workplace or the wider profession.

·        Outstanding Performance: Consistently exceeded expectations and delivered exceptional results in their role.

·        Personal and Professional Development: Shown exceptional commitment to their own growth, learning, and career progression.

Award Terms & Conditions:

The Rising Star Award recognises and celebrates emerging talent within the Insurance and Financial Services profession across the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) area and Dorset.

Eligibility

  1. Nominations may be submitted by the nominee themselves or by a third party on their behalf.
  2. Each individual may submit or be nominated for one entry only during the award period.
  3. Individuals who were selected as finalists for the previous year's Rising Star Award are not eligible to enter or be nominated for the current award.
  4. All information provided within the nomination must be accurate and complete to the best of the nominee's and nominator's knowledge.

Submission Process

  1. All nominations must be received by 11:59pm on 27 November 2026.
  2. Any nominations received after the closing date will not be considered and will be automatically disregarded.
  1. The Insurance Institute of Bournemouth reserves the right to reject incomplete, inaccurate or ineligible applications.

Judging Process

  1. Eligible nominations will be reviewed by a judging panel appointed by the Council of the Insurance Institute of Bournemouth.
  2. The judging panel's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
  3. The judging panel reserves the right not to present the award if, in its opinion, no nomination meets the required standard.

Finalists

  1. Shortlisted finalists will be notified using the contact details provided on the nomination form.
  2. All finalists will be invited to attend the Insurance Institute of Bournemouth Annual Dinner on Friday 19 March 2027 at the Bournemouth Marriott Hotel.
  1. Each finalist may bring one guest to attend the Annual Dinner. Further details regarding attendance will be provided after the finalists have been confirmed.

Publicity and Data Protection

  1. By submitting a nomination, nominees and nominators agree that any information provided as part of the application may be used for the administration and promotion of the award.
  2. Finalists and winners may be asked to provide photographs, biographies, testimonials or statements for publicity purposes.
  3. Photographs, statements and other promotional materials submitted or produced in connection with the award may be used by the Insurance Institute of Bournemouth across its communications and marketing channels, including but not limited to websites, social media, newsletters, publications and event materials.
  4. Personal data will be processed solely for the administration of the award and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

General

  1. The Insurance Institute of Bournemouth reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions or withdraw the award at any time where circumstances make this necessary.
  2. Entry into the Rising Star Award constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
