
Seminar: Typical Regulatory Actions Against Corporates & Individuals

William Naylor, partner at DAC Beachcroft LLP, will be visiting Guernsey to provide a 45 minute seminar discussing the following topics:
- Typical regulatory actions we see - against corporates and individuals (both GFSC and FCA)
- Some statistics- types of investigations, lifespans of claims, typical outcomes (fines)
- Defence costs management - and why this is important
- Trends – including Skilled Person Reviews- are the regulators looking to use these more?
- Other issues - SFO activity and DPAs
William is a partner in the firm’s Financial Institutions/D&O Service Lines specialist teams. He specialises in handling complex insurance and reinsurance disputes on behalf of London market, European and US insurers.
William acts for insurers on significant coverage and defence disputes in the Professional indemnity, D&O and FI classes. William also works with Insurers defending claims against Directors in respect of regulatory investigations and civil claims both in England and overseas. In particular William handles a number of claims in offshore jurisdictions including the Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Caribbean, Cyprus and Greece.
William qualified in 2012 and has undertaken two secondments to large London Market Insurers.
