Event Overview
The insurance industry has a powerful role to play in the transition to a sustainable global economy and in powering a green transition for the UK, but sustainability is about more than just carbon emissions and Net Zero. This session looks at how nature and the insurance industry interact and what the industry can do to get started with nature. It also explores how organisations in the industry can create meaningful, lasting impact whilst seizing the competitive opportunities of doing business better.

Speaker Bio
Mike is a Strategy, Agile, and Sustainability Consultant, formerly with Monitor Deloitte’s UK Sustainability & Climate Strategy team. He enjoys working across public and private sector strategy, often taking a systemic and agile view to help solve both organisational and societal challenges.
Mike has particular interests in Climate Technology, Energy, Agriculture, and the Circular Economy. He brings a strong background working in Agile software development to strategy and policy contexts and has applied these principles on major transformation and policy programmes with multiple central government departments and arms length bodies. In particular, Mike brings a stakeholder focus to value proposition design that helps organisations craft winning business models in a changing world.
