Blackstone Consultancy - Layered Approach to Security Risk Assessments

At Blackstone Consultancy, we carry out property risk assessments on a wide range of properties. This varies from large country estates and treasure houses, to rural and residential family homes, to apartments and penthouses located across the world. Though each type of property has its own intricacies and security requirements that need assessing in detail, the same overarching approach applies to the assessment. Each layer of the property must be assessed, with integrated and sensible improvements made across all layers.

Our Chartered Security Professionals assess properties, and bring in approved suppliers to carry out installations as and when required following our overall assessment. This presentation will look at this method of assessment, what we look at, how we look at it and provide the audience with some food for thought and simple recommendations which they can pass across to their clients in the first instance before taking further expert advice.

Guide Security – An introduction to CCTV in the UK

An introduction to CCTV in the UK and its growth from the 1st cameras to todays technology and what is available.

Burgoynes - The Forensic Investigation of Breaking and Entering

The investigation of fires and explosions often requires the security status of a premises in the preceding period to be assessed, in order to determine whether there has been any impropriety. This can include an assessment of physical damage to door and window fittings, the examination of locking devices, consideration of intruder alarm system logs, and assessment of CCTV recording units. Examples of real-world cases are presented, in order to provide an insight into this murky world. The same techniques also lend themselves to the investigation of other security-related matters, such as burglaries, where the evidence may show that all is not as it seems.

Henley Security Doors – Home security solutions

Our experience in the national UK market is that home invasions are on the rise and are also becoming more aggressive. We are going to explain how introducing physical security products into strategic locations throughout the home will prevent intruders from coming face to face or being able to physically reach the homeowners / family. We believe this could save the insurance market lots of time and money dealing with claims that come from potentially violent intruders forcing family members to open safes within the home. It is clear that detection system are not enough on their own.
