STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Financial Services Certificate Course, February to November 2023.

The Personal Finance Society Hants & Dorset, Surrey and Thames Valley Regional Committees in association with the Insurance Institutes of Bournemouth, Guildford, Reading and Southampton are proposing a FACE to FACE 10 day course over 7 months who are studying for and taking the STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Financial Services Certificate Exam in November 2023.

This a FACE to FACE event. The venue for the course is to be confirmed.

This exam sits outside of the CII exam qualification framework. It is the practical application of trust and taxation knowledge you will gain from the course study.

The cost of the course's 10 day training will be £550. If you wish to pay in instalments please contact us directly.

Each day will commence at 1000 and finish by 1600, with breaks timetabled for lunch etc throughout the day. Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

This intensive workshop will work through the 14 modules which vary in size and complexity. Below we have an example of the schedule involved.

Day Three 20/04/23 Module 5: Classification of Trusts; Module 6: Will Trusts;

Day Four 25/05/23 Module 7: The Nil Rate Band; Module 8: Residential Nil Rate Band;

Day Five 22/06/23 Module 9: Post Death Matters; Module 10: Trusts Used in Financial Services;

Day Six 20/07/23 Module 11: Trust Taxation;

Day Seven 24/08/23 Module 12: Trustee Duties; Module 13: Incapacitated Client;

Day Eight 21/09/23 Module 14: Philanthropic Client;

Day Nine 19/10/23 Review: Exam technique/timing;

Day Ten 02/11/23 Revision, revision, revision..........
