Overview

This course is designed to give an insight into claims handling and the various parties involved during the claims journey.

During the session, we will look at the different ways in which indemnity can be applied, and how Insurers can recover their outlay, along with common reasons for declinatures.

We will also look at the regulatory and legislative environment that impacts claims handling.

Objectives

• Understand the legal requirements for an insurance claim to be made.
• Recognise the different parties to a claim, and the role of the claims team.
• Identify the regulation that relates to claims handling.

About the speaker:

Matt is an experienced Training Specialist with a 15 year record of success in the insurance sector. With numerous roles, including broking, account management, operations and learning and development, he is focused on maximising employee performance and competence, quality assurance, engagement and career progression with effective training programs. Matt gets excited to develop successful training plans that meet dynamic company and employee needs. Accustomed to collaborating with managers to hone in on unique requirements with the aim of growth.

Matt has had several roles in the insurance broking industry, including Account Management (both personal and commercial lines), team manager positions and operational positions. Matt is committed to learning & development and passionate to share his knowledge, experience and expertise to allow others to grow.
