IASG Takes On Falkirk Wheel Abseil for 2026 Charity Partner, the Scottish SPCA

On 21 March 2026, council members Louise McQuade, Matthew Hunter, Lydia Clark and President Nick Smith will step over the edge of the Falkirk Wheel in support of the Scottish SPCA.

The IASG Council is kicking off this year’s charitable efforts with a bold challenge in support of the Scottish SPCA, our nominated charity for 2026, chosen by IASG President, Nick Smith. To raise vital funds for Scotland’s animals, Louise McQuade, Matthew Hunter, Lydia Clark and Nick Smith will take on a 100ft abseil from the iconic Falkirk Wheel, the world’s first and only rotating boat lift!
