Virtual Run for Lizzie's Fund!

Sunday, 08 March 2020 – Thursday, 30 April 2020

**Extended to end of April in light of the current COVID-19 situation**

Now more than ever it is important to build a routine and continue to work exercise into your day. If you're self-isolating get more creative with your 10km and perhaps turn it into 10 Joe Wicks workouts!

March is Brain Tumour Awareness Month, so when better to hold our very first virtual run to raise money for our charity of the year, Lizzie's Fund!

Here's how it works:

Sign up by making a minimum £10 donation to Lizzie's Fund via our JustGiving page, then cover 10km however YOU want by the end of March. You can walk, run, cartwheel, skate - whatever works for you. Do it as one 10km, two 5kms or even ten 1kms. Move with friends, family, dogs, ferrets, whatever. Ten Joe Wicks workouts counts as well! Get creative in these extraordinary circumstances.

Show us you did it by submitting a screenshot and once the challenge is over we will send you a medal commemorating your achievement. You can be proud in getting moving, and raising vital funds for brain tumour research at the same time.

Willis Re have very kindly agreed to cover the cost of the medals which means that every single penny of your entry donation goes to Lizzie's Fund! Massive thanks from us to them for this very generous gesture.

We would love to see photos of you covering your 10km, so please do send them over. Let us also know where in the world you are running so we can make a map of all you wonderful people! Note: by sending photos you allow us to use these for promotion of the event.

So what next?

Here comes the science bit, concentrate!

1. Pay your £10 (minimum) entry fee to our JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ipswichcii2019 remember to include your name, where you work and "Virtual Run" so we can track payments.

2. Travel your 10km YOUR way (including at-home workouts!), before the end of April

3. Send a screenshot from your favourite fitness app or watch, or other evidence that you have completed 10km to sarah.deacon@willistowerswatson.com - send me your photos showing how you're completing the challenge and your location for our map!

4. Once the challenge is over, we will send out your well-earned medal. Remember when submitting your evidence to include your postal address so we can send out your memento - this will remain confidential and will not be used for any marketing purposes.

Most of all, have fun. Enjoy!!
