This webinar provided by Alison Cooper is intended to provide to provide an overview of CII qualifications and how you can progress from the Cert through to ACII. This is the first of our two sessions this W/C 20th September with a follow up session on 22nd September in which our CII council will share their own experiences of studying in an informal panel discussion. Learning objectives:

  • To show you the CII qualification pathway up to and including achieving the Advanced Diploma (ACII)

  • To recognise the difference between Diploma (Mixed Assessment) & Advanced Diploma coursework;

  • To appreciate the importance of the syllabus & learning objectives;

  • To be aware of the different types of MCQs at Diploma level;

  • To consider how to plan your coursework answers to maximise marks

  • To avoid the perils & pitfalls of coursework.

Who is this session for?

This session is intended for anyone currently studying for CII qualifications at any level up to ACII. The focus of the content will be on what comes next after the CERT, with particular emphasis on coursework.

Speaker Profile: Alison Cooper, ACT ONE Training.

ACT ONE Training Services was established by Alison Cooper in 1998 ... ACT being an acronym referring to Alison Cooper Training. The company now includes a team of Associate Trainers to assist in the delivery of insurance and financial services training. These are all experienced trainers or assessors with a wide knowledge and experience of the Insurance market place.

Alison (also qualified to teach - PGCE) remains the Principle Trainer. In 2011 she was nominated and shortlisted for Women of Achievement Award in the Insurance Category run by Women in the City

Alison specifically has over 28 years’ experience within the insurance industry. She is a past Senior Chartered Insurance Institute Examiner and has achieved Fellowship (FCII) of the CII, the pinnacle qualification, and is currently a Vice President of the Insurance Institute of London (IIL). Since establishing ACT ONE, Alison has trained on behalf of Lloyd’s syndicates, the CII and directly to blue-chip insurance companies, brokers and academic institutions. In addition to delivering technical subjects, Alison (and her Associates) also train in communication and presentation skills. Alison regularly speaks at several local insurance institutes’ events on study and exam techniques and mixed assessment, the new focus of the CII. She also speaks on financial resilience for women as well as for young professionals.
