Webinar: Background to Cyber and Claims Handling (with Case Studies)
This webinar will act as an introduction to Cyber covers and will focus on claims handling with reference to claims studies.
There will be an overview of why cyber is an issue now, when computers and the internet have been around for a long time. Will discuss how criminals have learned to monetarise cyber-attacks in the last decade. Will go into further detail to explain the methods used, who is carrying out the attacks and how the criminals assist each other by sharing software and information.
All to be brought to life with two award winning case studies.

Mark heads up Sedgwick’s Global Technology Practice, he has been an adjuster for 29 years during which time he has gained substantial experience of technology and cyber related incidents.
He is an active member of the Business Emergency Resilience Group (BERG), their objective is to ensure that UK businesses are resilient against cyber and flood events.
Mark specialises in handling large and complex claims and uses experience gained from managing cyber events to provide market feedback on this ever evolving risk. Mark and his team won the British Insurance, Major Loss Award in 2019 for their management of a complex cyber incident.
Mark has published numerous articles in the Insurance press on Cyber related issues, he is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner, Chartered Loss adjuster and a Chartered Engineer.
