Charity Challenge Update

We are now over halfway through our charity challenge month and I wanted to give you all a little update on how it’s going so far!

The IIN Charity challenge is all about choosing a distance to complete over the month of November and cover this distance however you like, whether that is running, cycling, walking, rowing, swimming or in a more unique way. You can do it solo or get together with friends, family, or colleagues to make it a team challenge and you can all contribute to reach your target.

I originally set myself the challenge of 50 miles in November and I have seriously underestimated myself because I am nearly at the 50 miles mark and it is only 15th November!

I’ve decided therefore to up my target to 100 miles :D

So far, I have been clocking up the miles with a mixture of running and walking. I also went on a bike ride with our lovely Treasurer, Clare Jermy, along Marriotts Way. It was a gloriously sunny autumn day and we managed to do 14 miles!

The weather last weekend wasn’t so nice, so fingers crossed we get some more sunshine soon. It certainly makes it easier to get out of the house!

We have already raised an amazing £448, thank you to everyone who has sponsored me and the team.

Other members of the council joining the challenge … Clare Jermy, Sharon Theobald, Hazel Bown, Holly Heald and Sammi Bradshaw.

We also have Sam Bedder joining us from PIB. Sam works with Clare and I at PIB and we are glad to have him on board!

All the best,
