The presentation will cover FCA issues currently impacting brokers, including

  • the increased supervision of delegated authorities,
  • the ban on opt out selling,
  • complaint rule changes and reporting requirements,
  • CMA reporting requirements from August,
  • the impact of the Insurance Act,
  • potential client money reporting changes and rule updates,
  • FCA feedback on the appointed representative thematic review and requirements relating to vulnerable customers.

The presentation will also touch on upcoming issues including

  • revised renewal disclosure requirements,
  • FSCS limit changes and funding review,
  • general insurance value measures,
  • ageing population issues and the upcoming consultation on implementation of the new Insurance Distribution Directive from the EU.

There will also be an opportunity to review the potential impact on the insurance industry of Brexit in advance of the referendum.
