Special General Meeting – 18th June 2024
A Special General Meeting of the Insurance Institute of Reading is being held to consider and if thought fit to agree the following motions:
THAT
- The Insurance Institute of Reading is dissolved with immediate effect.
- In order to maintain a local presence and to assist the institutes to whom the membership of Reading will be reallocated, to become two local committees, one of Cheltenham & Gloucester for Oxford/Swindon area and the other of Guildford for the Reading area
Date: Tuesday 18th June 2024
Time: 5.30pm
Venue: The Waterhouse Chamber, The Town Hall, Blagrave Street, Reading
The meeting is convened in accordance with the CII’s model constitution for Local Institutes and complies with the 21 days-notice requirements.
You are invited to attend to share your views and vote on the proposal. Please book online here.
There are currently 54 local institutes across the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands. These local hubs are run by members for members and provide an annual programme of continuing professional development events for members in the local area.
If the dissolution is agreed, members will continue to receive services provided by the Insurance Institute of Guildford or the Insurance Institute of Cheltenham & Gloucester OR another institute of their choice.
