THIS IS A NEXT GEN EVENT for our members under the age of 35

In this session we will go through an example salary slip, what you should expect to receive and how to work out the difference between gross and net income. We will also cover some of the employee benefits you may be offered as part of an employee contract and how to work out the value of these benefits.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Understand the difference between Income Tax and National Insurance
  • Understand the value of employee benefits and how these are potentially taxed

SPEAKER BIO:

John-Paul is a Financial Planner with over 24 years’ experience and has worked for Abbey National, Barclays and Prudential. He is currently a Chartered Financial Planner with PS Aspire, part of the Punter Southall group of companies, dealing with private clients. John-Paul is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and the current Educational Outreach Ambassador for the Thames Valley region.
