3:00 pm – 5:30 pm (UK time)

The Insurance Institute of Southampton are focusing on Leadership for the Next Generation

We are hosting an afternoon of 2 CPD events with Networking for the next generation of insurance professionals, this will be followed by an ever popular Wine Tasting CPD event all presented by Jeff Heasman from Insurance Upskill.

The second event will follow after an opportunity for networking which will start at about 4pm, this will discuss Gen-Wise Leadership: Turning Generational Differences into Strategic Strengths

Perhaps the greatest leadership challenge is the fact that we now have Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z all working under the same (sometimes virtual) roof. Leadership is more complex than ever. What motivates one generation can mystify another, and misunderstandings can erode performance, engagement, and culture.
This session helps leaders decode generational dynamics and turn potential friction into high performing
synergy. You’ll gain insight into what each generation values, how to build trust across age groups, and how to adapt your leadership style without compromising effectiveness or authority.
Whether you’re managing a cross-generational team or looking to future-proof your leadership skills, this session is your guide to building unity in diversity.

Learning outcomes
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. identify the key differences and shared values among generational cohorts in the workplace.
2. understand how generational perspectives influence communication, motivation, and expectations.
3. implement a strategy to lead inclusively and effectively across generations, creating a more cohesive and productive team culture.

Please note you will need to book onto the 3 events separately.
