2025 Rising Star Award Nominations - Now Open!

We’re excited to share that nominations for the 2025 Rising Star Award are now open! This award shines a spotlight on up‑and‑coming talent in the Insurance and Financial Services industry across Southampton, Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight, Salisbury, and Andover.

Got someone in mind who fits the criteria? Or maybe… it could even be you?

• Professionalism: Demonstrated a significant contribution to raising professional standards within their organisation, local institute, or community.
• Sustainability: Delivered meaningful progress or impact aligned to the industry’s sustainability goals.
• Diversity & Inclusion: Actively contributed to improving inclusion, equity, or representation within their workplace or the wider profession.
• Outstanding Performance: Consistently exceeded expectations and delivered exceptional results in their role.
• Personal and Professional Development: Shown exceptional commitment to their own growth, learning, and career progression.

• Nominees do not have to be existing CII/PFS Members

• Can only be nominated or submit a nomination to one local institute Award programme in any one year.

Note: Finalists of the 2024 Rising Star Award cannot apply for this year’s Rising Star Award but are free to apply for the 2026 Rising Star Award.

All eligible nominees will receive notification/recognition of their nomination for the Rising Star Award and will be invited to an Awards Evening on 3^rd July 2026, so if you are nominated keep your diary free!

All eligible nominations will be adjudicated by a panel of up to six people comprising a representative from the Award Sponsor, plus up to five members of the Insurance Institute of Southampton Council and Education Committee. The panel will choose a short-list of three, from whom the overall winner will be chosen.

The three short-listed finalists selected by the panel will be invited to the Insurance Institute of Southampton Annual Dinner as guests of the President and Council – date/location to be confirmed.

At the Annual Dinner, details of the overall winner of the Rising Star Award will be made public and the winner and the runners-up will be presented with their prizes by the Sponsor, supported by our President.

Ageas (UK) Limited has kindly agreed to sponsor this event awarding the following cash prizes together with a suitably inscribed trophy to our three finalists:

• 1^st Prize £150
• 2^nd Prize £100
• 3^rd Prize £50
