PRESIDENT'S NEW YEAR MESSAGE
Hello to all IICG members and a Happy, Safe and Prosperous New Year to you, your family and friends.
2020 is now well upon us leading to the final 4 months of my Presidential year.
A quick word about December and just to say the collection of items for Cheltenham Animal Shelter went well with Zoe and I receiving a visit from CAS including Joey the Jack Russell, as we handed over donations from Ageas and EIG with THB delivering their collection directly. Thankyou if you donated.
January will see both the Foodbank collection and Cake/Bake Sale and associated 16 mile walk. More details of that later in the week
IICG had a list of goals back in May 2019 and like many, the start of the year is the time to review and share them. Our plan was as follows
1. Joint learning day with surrounding, like minded Institute or to go alone and provide own learning day
2. PFS Revision Day
3. Enhanced succession planning of main council via the appointment of 3 Deputy Presidents to work towards their own Presidential years of 2021,2022,2023 by gaining experience via the shadowing and participation in sub committee work
4. Continuation of excellent CPD programme with 20 targeted events
5. 2000 members
6 . Reintroduction of CII/PFS awards evening
7. Stronger Sports and Social programme
8. Engagement of high profile leaders within the IICG to interact with Deputy President and New Gen membership/target membership
9. Dedicated Discover Risk session for schools/colleges on an invitation only basis delivered by IICG Education Champions
10. Strong supportive fundraising,volunteer work and profile raising of nominated charity (Cheltenham Animal Shelter)
I think in the main we are on track but of course will always listen and learn from members so do please let us have your feedback.
So a busy few months of CPD, Exams, Annual Dinner, Charity Events, Careers Fayres, Revision Sessions and Social Events lie ahead. We can hope you can engage with and enjoy as many of these with us as possible
