Clutter's last stand

CLUTTER CONTROL SESSION 11TH SEPTEMBER 2017

A rather thought provoking and unique session on “clutter control” was provided by Marianne Gibbs on the 11th September of this year.
Marianne started the session with her own definition of “clutter”, which in certain areas appeared challenging, but this was perhaps to encourage the delegates themselves to adopt a similar attitude towards their own “clutter”.

Marianne suggested that such challenging attitudes could be utilized, when considering gifts to friends for special occasions, rather than burdening them with clutter.

Approximately two thirds into the talk, Marianne moved from domestic clutter to a working environment, suggesting a clear desk policy where possible, and other sensible suggestions, such as keeping drinks away from computers and even advocating purchasing a cat litter tray, to be used as a “work to be actioned” tray.

This session proved to be both stimulating and entertaining.
