On Friday 21st March 2025, we were enjoying a night of celebration, recognition, networking and partying at our Annual Presidents Dinner.

Rachel Karn CMgr MCMI Cert CII as President of the The Insurance Institute of Luton and Hertfordshire hosted the 93rd Annual Dinner at the historic Old Palace at Hatfield House.

We are so pleased to have received such wonderful, positive feedback from this event. We were also thrilled and delighted to be joined by the Ian Simons, Edward Grant and Annali-Joy Thornicroft as our guest speakers and neighbouring Presidents, Alycia Thomson ACII Chartered Insurance Broker, Suzzie Aidoo PhD ACII, Christopher Johnson, Laura Benedetto, Oliver Watson DIP CII and Paul Tunnell

The evening would not have been made possible without the superb organisation skills of our Dinner Secretary Mark Morris and the backing of our corporate sponsors, Clear Group and Arch, plus all of the employers who purchased tickets for their staff and everyone else who purchased tickets - thank you. 🙏

We would also like to thank our Toastmaster Matthew Biggin for making sure all the formalities and schedules were followed.

Celebrating success is another one of our main aims at the Annual Dinner. Our awards were presented to:

🏅 The Mike Jackson Award - Presented to the individual who completed the highest PFS qualification. This was awarded to Naomi Haynes.

🏅 The Young Achiever Award. This award is presented to the youngest member (under 30 years of age at the time of completion) with the highest result on the highest level of exam. This applies to both CII and PFS members. This was awarded to James Doughty.

🏅 The Peter Checketts Award. This is presented to the individual who completed the highest general insurance qualification. This was awarded to Samantha Westaway ACII for completing her ACII.

🏅 The Certificate in Insurance Award. This award is presented to the individual who fully completes their Certificate in Insurance with the best results. This was awarded to Laura Northcott Cert CII

We were also thrilled to raise money for both The Insurance Charity and Rachel Karn CMgr MCMI Cert CII's nominated charity Alzheimer's Society. A huge thank you to all those who generously donated on the night and to those who donated raffle prizes.

We hope to see you all again at our next Annual Dinner in January 2026.
