Marine

This course will introduce the concept of Marine Cargo insurance. Following completion of the course the learner will understand the background to the cover and will be able to demonstrate why it is required and how the principles of insurance relate.

At the end of this course the learner will be able to:

• Explain the background to marine cargo insurance
• Explain why marine cargo insurance is required
• Demonstrate a knowledge of how the principles of insurance relate to marine cargo insurance
• Describe the relevance of the institute clauses
• Explain the phrase ‘terms of sale’
