Fraud Trends

The presentation will cover modern fraud trends relating to insurance and insurance related aspects of day to day life, from identity theft to fraudulent claims, ghost broking and vehicle theft.

This will enlighten delegates to the methods criminals and fraudsters use to obtain funds or property generally by nefarious means. It should assist brokers and insurers alike as to looking at how they may reduce their potential exposure, and their clients' exposure, to fraud.

By the end of this session, delegates will be able to:
1. Discuss trending fraudulent activities.
2. Assist in the detection and prevention of fraud.
3. Recognise and understand fraud risks.
4. Summarise how and why fraud risks arise.

Speaker Biography
Andrew London is the Legal Director for Insurance at Hill Dickinson LLP, dealing with a range of potentially fraudulent cases, but with a special interest in credit hire.
