Webinar - 70 : 20 : 10 Shifting learning away from the training room

Tuesday, 11 May 2021
12:00 pm – 1:15 pm (UK time)

Did you know we learn more from making a mistake than getting it right first time… that’s not to say mistakes are to be welcomed, but it’s great to have opportunities to try things out for yourself and
see what happens.

The most successful organisations recognise the importance of developing people by giving them
opportunities to learn through experience, and not be overly reliant on formal training. Inspiring people to change and embrace new learning, requires a combination of formal and informal learning, developmental coaching and consistent practice.

The 70 : 20 : 10 is a model that shifts learning from the training room to the workplace. You’re in good company if your organisation is adopting the 70 : 20 : 10 with a number of big names - Nike, Goldman Sachs, Mars, Diageo, Sony to name but a few, doing the same.
Any more ideas on what the numbers mean? Come along and discover more...

Suitable for:
 All staff who want to understand how to maximise learning through experience, both for
themselves and for people they manage

By the end of the session delegates will:
 Be reminded that elephants never forget – but people do
 Understand some brain science showing the link between relaxing and learning
 Be aware of areas for developing their own use of informal learning
 Be ensuring all learning is relevant and useful
……………. be prepared to get involved and participate!
