Speaker: Branko Bjelobaba, FCII

A two hour briefing presented by Branko Bjelobaba FCII, FCA Compliance Consultant and CII Accredited Advanced General Insurance Trainer.

Branko has a first-class reputation for his expert knowledge on compliance and regulatory matters and their impact on the UK financial services and general insurance industries. Combining comprehensive knowledge with an engaging and unique presentation style, Branko manages to deliver presentation sessions that inform, enlighten and even entertain (all at the same time!!). Many events provided by Branko have been standing room only which continues to perplex him based on the subject matter and he has spoken at virtually all CII local institutes and is taken aback by the feedback he gets from those attending events.

Learning objectives:

By attending this event delegates will gain an insight into:

  • GDPR proposals (wider applicability than current Data Protection Act 1998, enhanced obligations, increased individual rights and a massive 4% global turnover maximum penalty for breaches)
  • Increased cost and complexity to ensure compliance
  • The need for establishing a clear legal basis for processing data and where consent may/may not be needed
  • What market activities will be legal after 25 May 2018
