A constant feature of commercial package policies, it is easy to overlook the various risk features demonstrated by customers relating to these classes of insurance.

This session presented by David Hole is designed to provide a brief introduction (or refresher as appropriate) to these areas and to examine the various extensions to cover, why these are available and who may benefit from buying them.

Course Objectives

• Understand the application of public and products liability policy cover

• Know how liability can attach to a firm for third party losses involving damage and injury/disease and through the supply of defective products

• Be able to determine the suitability of certain extensions to cover for insurance customers

• Be familiar with the impact of legislation concerning the settlement of personal injury claims and the supply of consumer goods in the UK
