BUSINESS UPDATE FROM OUR CHARITY PARTNER CHELTENHAM ANIMAL SHELTER

We are pleased to announce that we are now gradually re-opening our services that have been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Our reception remains closed to visitors at the present time and we are also still closed for viewing.

We are following UK Government, DEFRA and Canine and Feline Sector Group guidelines to ensure we practice safe social distancing and good hygiene, so as a result many of our services are operating slightly differently.

Most of our services, including rehoming will be by appointment only.

Rehoming for cats, dogs and small animals is now back up and running, by email application and visits by appointment, limiting numbers on-site.

So far this has been working well and we are happy to see the dogs, cats and small animals that have been with us since the start of lockdown now go to new homes.

Our businesses that help bring in funds to support the rescue side, such as our on-site vets, CASVet is now fully open by appointment only Monday to Friday 8.30am – 6pm.

Our Dog Grooming Parlour, Short Bark and Sides is taking bookings, initially offering dry cuts and nail clips, by appointment only Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm and Dog and Cat Boarding is now open for holiday bookings.

The on-site charity shop opened this week with a busy but successful start. The shop is open Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm, accepting donations Monday to Friday between 10 – 2pm only.

The Education Team are preparing to re-start our award winning program, The HALT Project, which supports “at risk” youths in the community in September by running a two week course.

Sadly looking ahead our annual events calendar will probably not happen this year but hope to do lot’s of fundraising on-line, especially after our first ever virtual event we hosted last month was a great success for us raising over £6000.

Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards
