CPD WEBINAR: UNDERSTANDING SUICIDE

Tuesday, 04 June 2024
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm (UK time)
    • Jay Unwin, Trainer & Consultant, MHIB

Suicide affects us all, directly or indirectly, and it is important that we normalise conversations about suicide. This empowering session explores the complexity of suicide and breaks down some of the stigma that surrounds it.

The aim of the session is to instil a message of hope – hope for recovery for those that are experiencing thoughts and feelings of suicide and hope that we can all play a part in creating suicide safer communities.

Through group discussion, activities and exercises, attendees will become more comfortable talking about suicide and will develop their skills and knowledge in terms of how to respond to thoughts of suicide.

OUR SPEAKERS

Mental Health in Business (MHIB) was founded in 2018. We work with a wide range of businesses and organisations, to help them embed a positive mental health culture.

We believe in a future where good mental health and well-being and a supportive culture is commonplace in the workplace.

We love to work closely with organisations to create bespoke mental health and well-being training programmes that are perfect for them and their industry.

Claire Russell (CEO) has a corporate career spanning 20 years, so she understands well the challenges facing owners and managers of businesses. She decided to bring together her corporate experience and passion for helping others when she experienced a difficult time in her own life.

She is a committed volunteer for the Samaritans, and is a Mental Health First Aid Trainer and Clarity Coach with a mission to help others facing difficult times and to speak candidly about issues relating to mental health and well-being.
