Insurance Institute of Luton & Hertfordshire Charity Golf Day

We held our annual Charity Golf Day on 30th April 2026, bringing together members and industry colleagues for a day of friendly competition in support of The Cinnamon Trust, the President’s chosen charity for the 2026–27 term.

Although President Rachel Karn was unable to attend this year’s event, she expresses her sincere thanks to everyone who took part and contributed to raising £150 for a charity that provides essential support to older people and those with life‑limiting conditions by caring for their much‑loved pets.

Special appreciation is extended to Mark Morris, who organised the event, and to Endeavour Volvo in Letchworth for generously sponsoring the Team Prize. David Morris attended on behalf of Endeavour Volvo to present the awards.

Competition Results
The team competition delivered strong performances across the board:

1st Place – 80 points: A mixed team of individuals consisting of Stephen May and Sam Rafferty from Lyndhurst, Jason Becker from Blossom and Brian Eldridge from Generation Insurance Software Limited.
2nd Place – 75 points: Team Tysers
3rd Place – 72 points: Team Lyndhurst Financial Management Ltd
4th Place – 69 points: Team Arch Insurance Group Inc.

Individual achievements were also recognised:
Longest Drive: Jack Hadden
Nearest the Pin: Andy Clap
Overall Event Winner: Sam Rafferty
Last Place Prize: Jason Becker, acknowledged with good humour

We were delighted to see such strong support for this event and thank all participants, sponsors and volunteers for making the event a success.
