Directors and Officers insurance in a plain English nutshell - a must for all in General insurance

  • Wed 17 Jun 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
    • Alan Chandler

Alan Chandler will briefly explain the history and how the D&O market place is changing, including the fact that many more directors are being sued individually and also the fact that the amount of HSE prosecutions have trebled against individual directors since 2015. This is no longer a cover that ANY director can ignore, and ironically if a director refuses D&O without consulting their fellow directors they have massively increased their own personal D&O exposure! Too many brokers are saying to their clients that the maximum limit a company should set for D&O is the sum total of all the directors personal assets - this is wrong and will lead to a PI claim against that broker! Alan runs his own training and consultancy business, so does not come with any agenda for promoting a specific insurer's wording. This presentation will be focusing on how to make it easy to understand the main purpose of this valuable cover.
