Annually, the Chartered Insurance Institute recognises outstanding volunteer contributions to its Local Institute Network throughout the UK, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.

This year is no exception and the Institute is pleased to present Exceptional Service Awards* to Leslie Gillanders from the Insurance Institute of Northern Ireland and Alina Schatten from the Insurance Institute of London.  We are also delighted to present Distinguished Service Awards to Nat Brown from the Insurance Institute of Plymouth & Cornwall, Richard Cockbain from the Insurance Institute of Perth & Dundee, Joanne Kirkby from the Insurance Institute of Bolton and Matthew Pyke from the Insurance Institute of Exeter.

Commenting on the Awards, Callum Beaton (Panel Chair and Deputy President of the CII) said “The Awards represent the very best of volunteering throughout the Local Institute Network around the country and all recipients should be rightfully proud of their contributions which go well beyond contributions to their Local Institutes and often impacting on wider communities beyond the insurance profession.”

The Awards will be presented at the Network Conference taking place at Cameron House, Loch Lomond on 19th June.

*The Exceptional Service Award generally recognises contributions not just at a recipient’s own Local Institute but wider contribution on a regional or national scale whereas the Distinguished Service Award focuses more on outstanding contributions on a local level.
