The Insurance Institute of Cardiff invite you to a webinar on; Situational Leadership
Wednesday 23rd September 10:00 – 11:00am
The webinar will be run via Zoom, a global web-conferencing solution. Zoom is easy to use, a link and joining instructions will be sent to you at the time of booking.
About the session:
This interactive 60-minute webinar introduces delegates to the principles of Situational Leadership and how leaders can adapt their approach according to the needs of each team member.
Delegates will explore the four development levels, recognising that an individual’s confidence, competence and motivation may vary depending on the specific task or responsibility they are completing. They will learn how to use a practical diagnostic tool to identify the level of support and direction each person needs.
The session will also examine the four flexible leadership approaches and how leaders can adjust their style to help team members develop greater confidence, capability and independence. Delegates will consider the impact of using an unsuitable leadership approach, including the risk of creating confusion, frustration, dependency or disengagement.
Finally, the webinar will introduce Partnering for Performance, encouraging leaders and team members to have open conversations about goals, development needs, leadership support and how they can work together to achieve the best possible results.
By the end of the session, delegates will have a practical framework they can use to diagnose individual needs, adapt their leadership approach and support stronger performance and development within their teams.
